Shadows and Light

(View gallery) Many who come to the Evergreen are seasoned performers who are well known to the audience. There are others, like Stephanie Hardy, who are new to us and bring with them the excitement of discovery.
Stephanie’s concert at the Evergreen was just such an exciting event. This young singer songwriter from Cape Breton has played alongside, with and performed for an impressive list of artists including the Dixie Chicks, George Canyon, Gordie Sampson and J.P.Cormier and when we heard her sing, we understood why.

When Stephanie played ‘unplugged’ before the Evergreen audience on Saturday night, she said that it felt just like a Cape Breton Kitchen Party. Her strong, melodious voice filled the venue as she sang a range of songs from her CD “Brand New Skin”. The photo gallery of her performance is now online and features a track from this CD entitled “Sweet Sorrow”.
