Winter in Nova Scotia
I mentioned in the previous posting about how I was looking forward to getting back to photographing the Nova Scotia winter. Even if I had the time at the moment we certainly don’t have any winter. Today was +15 C! (see the weather in the left column). No ice and no snow, obviously. Global warming really is having dire effects on our climate. However, it was similar to this last year until about February when we did at least get a few weeks of cold weather.

This is a shot of Kejimkujik Lake last February (2006) when it was -14 C and absolutely beautiful. The wind was blowing the snow across the ice and the sun backlit the islands. Maybe I’ll get some of these beautiful shooting conditions in the next few weeks. – Steve

Thanks Bev. I’m glad you like it.
Hopefully there will be some more very soon, that’s if we ever get any snow this year.
