Viewable on pc only (sorry Mac viewers!) This show combines photos from the Deep Roots Photographers with the music of some of the performers from Deep Roots 2006. The show is in two parts, the first is approximately 15 minutes in length, the second about 19 minutes. It requires a high speed (broadband) internet connection.

  • Friday afternoon:

  • Friday Night Part 1:
    • Opening concert including Women and their Roots participants: We’koqma’q Qewiskwa’q, Georgette LeBlanc, Mary Jane Lamond, Sara and Kamila Nasr and Shauntay Grant; Olga Milosevich, MC and speakers; Troy MacGillivray and friends; Maritimes’ Own: Amelia Curran, Rick MacNab, Old Man Luedecke and Scott Parsons.
  • Friday Night Part 2:
    • Second part of Friday Night concert including Tom Wilson and Bob Lanois with Russell Wilson; Mary Jane Lamond, Gillian Boucher and Dave McKeough; Matapat with Ken Shorley.
  • Saturday morning:
    • Dance workshops including Step Dancing with Chuck et Albert, Georgette LeBlanc, Troy MacGillivray and Matap’s step-dancer François Dauphin. Also the parade – with Wee Giant Theatre – down Wolfville Main Street to Waterfront Park.
  • Saturday afternoon:
    • Open air concert at the Waterfront in Wolfville, featuring Wild Band of Snee; Festival Theatre Great Canadian Tribute: Songwriters’ Circle – Bob Lanois, Tom Wilson, Stephen Fearing, Amelia Curran, Ruth Ungar, Mike Merenda, Rob Lutes, Old Man Luedecke and James Gordon; Bowing to your Picking – String Jam – Matapat, Jay Ungar, Rushad Eggleston, Ryan Hupman, Kevin Roach, Jude Pelley, Troy MacGillivray, Rick Spinney; Al Whittle Theatre – Sara and Kamila; Gypsophelia
  • Saturday Night Part 1:
    • Stephen Fearing; Chuck et Albert as MC’s; El Viento Flamenco; Kevin Roach and Jude Pelley and friends.
  • Saturday Night Part 2:
    • Saturday night concert part two: Rob Lutes; Chuck et Albert as MC’s; Jay Ungar, Molly Mason and family band; The Wild Band of Snee
  • Sunday Afternoon Part 1:
    • Sunday Afternoon concert at Acadia University’s Convocation Hall: James Gordon and the Mi’kmaq youth songwriting project; Sara and Kamila; The Spinney Brothers; Valley Arts Award with Chet Brown
  • Sunday Afternoon Part 2:
    • Sunday Afternoon concert at Acadia University’s Convocation Hall including Finale: Chuck et Albert; James Gordon; The Lustre Brothers; The Hupman Brothers; Jay and Molly’s Family Band; Finale – community sing along and closing.
